Hope Nursing Home was established on 17 September 2011 at N.S.B. Road, Raniganj, with the objective of providing affordable, high-quality healthcare in a clean and safe environment. Located two minutes from NH2 and 2 km from the Raniganj railway station, the 20-bedded facility includes organized wards, patient cabins, and a modern operation theatre complex.
The hospital has separate male and female wards that are well ventilated and designed to maintain hygiene and patient privacy. Seven AC and non-AC cabins are available, each equipped with attached bathrooms, television, and essential amenities.
The operation theatre complex is equipped with advanced technology, including multiparameter monitors, electrocautery units, radiofrequency systems, CO₂ laser, Philips OT lighting, Zeiss (Germany) and Opto SM (India) operating microscopes, Storz (Germany) HD three-chip and Stryker (USA) three-chip camera systems, Medtronix Nexus microdebrider, Indigo otologic drill system, and a complete range of endoscopes, hysteroscopes, and laparoscopic instruments. An automated fogging unit and a dedicated sterilization room support stringent infection-control practices.
With two consultant gynaecologists as partners, the hospital places strong emphasis on maternal and child healthcare. The labour room is equipped with labour cots, a neonatal resuscitation unit, and Philips lighting. The neonatal care unit includes an Elmed thermostat-controlled warmer, oxygen hood, and phototherapy system.
The facility has a four-bed ICU for postoperative and emergency patients, equipped with multiparameter monitors, 24-hour oxygen supply, and suction systems to ensure continuous critical-care support.
The Gynaecology and Obstetrics department conducts a wide range of procedures, including abdominal, vaginal, and laparoscopic hysterectomies; elective and emergency caesarean sections; myomectomies; cystectomies; laparoscopic surgeries; and reconstructive procedures such as perineal tear repair and vaginoplasty.
The infertility unit provides services such as ovulation induction, folliculometry, diagnostic laparoscopy, hysteroscopy, ovarian drilling, and adhesiolysis. Intrauterine insemination (IUI) using partner or cryopreserved semen is performed regularly. The hospital is also associated with GENOME, Kolkata for IVF services.
Hope Nursing Home is recognized as a leading ENT centre in the region under the direction of Dr. Anirban Ghosh, MS (ENT). Over the last three years, the team has performed more than a thousand ENT procedures, including tympanoplasty, mastoid surgery, stapedectomy, endoscopic sinus surgery, thyroid and head-neck surgeries, tonsillectomy, oesophagoscopy, bronchoscopy, and tracheostomy. An annual ENT workshop is organized for postgraduate students from across India.
Visiting surgeons conduct laparoscopic and open cholecystectomy, appendicectomy, hernia repair, and procedures for haemorrhoids, fistula, and fissure on a regular basis.
Diagnostic services include biochemical and pathological investigations, as well as specialized tests such as colposcopy, Pap smear, electronystagmography, audiometry, tympanometry, nasal endoscopy, laryngoscopy, flexible bronchoscopy, and polysomnography.
To support economically disadvantaged patients, the hospital conducts annual free check-up camps and subsidized surgical camps, including micro-ear surgery and sterilization procedures.
