The dream of bringing specialized healthcare at an affordable rate in a clean and healthy surrounding came true with the inauguration of HOPE NURSING HOME on 17th September, 2011 at N.S.B Road, Raniganj. Located conveniently just two minutes from NH2 and 2 kms from Raniganj railway station, this 20 bedded nursing home proudly claims to have well equipped wards, cabins and state of art operation theatre complex.
There are separate male and female wards which are clean, airy and well ventilated with proper spacing between two beds keeping privacy and hygiene in mind. We have seven AC/ Non-AC cabins with TV, attached bathrooms and all amenities.
This nursing home can boast of having the best state of art operating theatre in town which is equipped with multiparameter monitors, high end electrocautery machines, radiofrequency, CO2 laser, Phillips five bulb OT lights, Zeiss (Germany) and Opto SM (India) operating microscopes, Storz (Germany) HD three chip and Stryker (USA) three chip camera system; Medtronix Nexus microdebrider and Indigo otologic drill system, full range of endoscopes, hysteroscopes, laparoscope, insufflator, LED light source, Olympus flexible bronchoscopy etc. Automated fogger and a separate room for autoclaving which leads to minimal infection rate for our postoperative patients.
With two consultant gynaecologists as our partners, mother and child care is one of our major concerns. Being a baby friendly hospital we promote normal deliveries for which we have well equipped labour room with comfortable labour cots, baby resuscitation unit, Phillips operating light etc. our neonatal care unit has Elmed thermostat controlled baby warmer, o2 hood and phototherapy setup.
For our immediate postoperative and emergency patients we have four ICU beds with monitors, 24 hour O2, suction machines. Critical patients are kept here for better monitoring and treatment.
Our Gynaecology and Obstetrics department runs successfully with regular surgeries like hysterectomy (abdominal, vaginal, and laparoscopic), emergency and elective Caesarean section, myomectomies, and cystectomies. All gynaecological laparoscopic surgeries and complicated surgeries e.g., perineal tear, vaginoplasty are regularly performed.
Our infertility department has provision for ovulation induction, folliculometry, diagnostic laparoscopy, hysteroscopy, ovarian drilling, and adhesiolysis. IUI (Intrauterine insemination) with husband or cryo-preserved semen is regularly done with high success rate. We have tie up with GENOME Kolkata, they perform IVFs with high success rate.
Hope nursing home is one of the best ENT institute in the entire state with Dr. Anirban Ghosh, MS (Gold medallist) as its director. We proudly claim of having performed more than thousand ENT surgeries successfully in three years and giving back the gift of hearing to hundreds of people from all villages in and around our district. Dr. Anirban Ghosh is a famous ENT surgeon who performs all types of micro-ear surgery e.g. tympanoplasty, mastoid surgery, stapedectomy; endoscopic sinus surgery, thyroid surgery, head- neck surgery, tonsillectomy, emergency oesophagoscpy, bronchoscopy, tracheostomy in skill full manner. Our Nursing home also organizes a yearly ENT workshop where students from all over India come to gain knowledge and surgical skills.
We have visiting surgeons who perform laparoscopic and open cholecystectomy, appendicectomy, herniorrhaphy, haemorrhoids, fistula, and fissure repair on a regular basis.
Among different diagnostic facilities we have biochemical, pathological testing facilities and specialized tests like colposcopy, pap smear, electronystagmogram (balance test), audiometry, tympanometry, nasal endoscopy, laryngoscopy, flexible bronchoscopy, polysomnography (sleep study) etc.
Keeping our BPL patients in mind, we arrange yearly free check-up camps/ micro ear surgery camps, ligation camps and other operation at a minimal rate are also done here for the underprivileged.
